Event Principles

In the event management world planning is the most important step. To put together a successful event you must start with goals and objectives you wish to complete. A few things that help with this are organizational charts and writing out goals with a few ways to reach them.
Event Contracts
Having contracts is the best way to keep both parties happy. Whether it is with vendors, merchandisers, or entertainers a contract informs  you of their needs and what you can do to help them. As well as the other way around.

Job Descriptions
describing jobs that are in need to be filled allows people to understand what they could be potentially signing up for. It is also a great tool for interviewing. It allows you to see if the person understands the duties of the job.

Vendor Guidelines
Guidelines give vendors precise information on how the event will work, the load in, set-up, and tear down. It also informs them on things like, which utilities will be available and how payments will be delievered

Event Time Line
Having a time line is a great way to stay organized. It allows you to see which months will be very busy, and which months may have room for more work loads. This way every task is completed in a timely manner.

Site Check List and Site Map
Having a check list shows further support that will be needed for an event and it's stakeholders. A map allows you to place what you have on a check list into an image form. This makes set ups more efficient.
